I just choose to do extremely little broadcast media anymore. It doesn't lend to news so much as it does opinion and commentary, and it doesn't allow enough time for thoughtful discussion. I can't do my thing being interrupted by a host, or being set an eight minute segment limit. I turn down a majority of media requests nowadays. I just feel like everyone complains about the format of modern media but then they go ahead and prop it up anyway. At some point someone has to boycott most of it. Here I am!
Gotcha....but it doesn't hurt to do a mix once in a while. I understand that SKB does interrupt...and can be annoying, but his intentions are noble, and his sense of urgency in squeezing as much out from his 8 minute segments are impactful. you have a good reach because of your name recognition, but the more clear, smart voices that are out there right now in multiple media formats for different audience segments and as often as possible right now, is vital at this time in history. Substack is limited, and it is for a different audience. The warroom or other wide reaching podcasts need you right now.
You were my favorite part of warroom. Totally understandable not wanting to be interrupted; I’d get frustrated cuz wanted to hear what you had to say. Don’t sell yourself short on what you offer to Americans hungering for someone with your amazing Farage/Brexit etc. background and British dry sense of humor, coupled with your intellectual viewpoint. You can incorporate news and thoughtful long version commentary and discussion the way only you can offer. Your presentation is excellent, your own personal dress style, handsome, brit accent (‘muricans love Brit accents), self deprecating humor, humor in general and most importantly your opinion and perspective on what is going on in the world during these unprecedented times.
My recommendation is to do a one man show live streaming a couple hours a day discussing the news you think is important a la Viva Frei...find him on Rumble and Locals to get a gist of what I’m talking about. You probably already know.
This way you can spend your time in long discussions giving your commentary and unique perspective as a Brit. I for one would sign up and join your locals channel as a paying customer. You are too valuable in front of a camera vs spending your time writing long form articles (can still do this on locals when you want like Robert Barnes does on vivabarnes.locals.com).
Yes, the tide is turning....but....we've got a teeny problem coming up, Raheem. The repubs aren't gonna do jack when they take power ...and that's gonna make it very hard for Trump in 2024. Specifically, there will be continued [& extravagant] spending on the border war in Ukraine and, worse, no impeachments of Biden or Garland will get initiated. Beyond that, don't expect the new majority to lift a finger to help end the bullshit investigations into Trump's or Bannon's business ventures.
Voters THINK that by voting repub in droves they're bringing a new show to town. When the newbies don't do a thing with their mandate we're gonna be looking at a lot of disappointed and demoralized voters.

I think our national reps would care more if they had to increase the number of congressional reps in the House. Too few seats representing too many people. We aren’t locked into 435. Things always get too corporate when they get too big.
