Where's Biden? On Vacation. Again.
He doesn't appear to have received the President's Daily Briefing in two weeks.
Joe Biden appears to be on vacation again. At least according to his public schedule, below, which reveals how the apparent President of the United States has had no public appointments nor work related events for the past seven days. Take a look for yourself.
In fact, the last time President Biden did anything remotely related to his job was August 16th, when he flew in from another vacation on Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina to sign the Inflation Reduction Act. And that’s all he did that day. He doesn’t even appear to have received the President’s Daily Briefing since Tuesday, August 9th.
The day before that, on August 8th, he was in Delaware again.
In August to date, Biden has taken few meetings, with the average first of the day beginning at 11am, and his last around 4pm. In other words, a part time job (when he’s even doing it).
So what gives?
Has he been more seriously impacted from his bout with COVID-19 than the White House is willing to reveal? His biking around on vacation would suggest not. So what is it?
Data from Rasmussen Reports appears to suggest it’s another deployment of the “basement” strategy Biden employed during the run-up to the 2020 election. The less voters see of him, the more they like him.
When visible in July, Biden’s approval ratings hovered around the mid to late 30s. When he disappeared they nudged up into the mid 40s.
There are obviously other factors involved, such as the media’s hyper-simping for him on air, as well as the raid on Mar-a-Lago (popular with Democrats), the killing of Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. But the second issue is contentious, and the third has basically already been forgotten.
Which leaves us with just one prevailing theory: the less the public sees of Joe Biden, the more they like him. And his handlers in the West Wing know this.
...no worries...Obama et al are taking care of biz...God help us!
