That is a mighty ask when you consider that nearly all the Democrats I know have somehow lost their ability to critically think. They don’t seem to question or evaluate their thoughts and emotions with the reality that they live. My lived experience is that pain is the greatest motivation to change. Yes. It is going to be a long haul. But we didn’t get here overnight. I now realize I “fell asleep at the wheel” when it came to politics for a while. The country went astray while we were sleeping. We now need to wake them up!! The good news is, MAGA is full of the boldest and the brightest. We all have our job to do…big or small. Take baby steps George. Take a stand where you can in your life. Even if you change one person’s perspective, you have done a great deed!! I left my boyfriend of 3 years because it was clear he was not going to wake up. Low and behold, after 9 months of Biden in the White House, boy did my boyfriend see the light!! 🤣 He told me I was right about everything and he now sees that I was only trying to protect us. We are stronger than ever now and we are both on the same page!! People do change. I’ll admit, he’s a pretty special man, but he is proof that people really do and can change 🌟

We do not want what we want, we want what is just and honorable. There is nothing just or honorable in the media or DC these these days. Unfortunately, it’s their way or the highway. The almighty dollar trumps(no pun intended) everything. I can’t help but feel that the America I grew up in is lost. We've so debased language that more than half the country labels opposition to mandates "Racism." Here's my proposal --from here on let's only go to bat for constitutional principles as they were (up till roughly 2 years ago) authoritatively construed by the Supreme Court....meaning we don't defend January 6th as an exercise in Democracy, we merely maintain we've got the right to assemble and petition the government for a redress of grievances [i.e., no one gets to talk like Patrick Henry anymore]. It's time to force the folks driving you crazy into a paragraph by paragraph refutation of the bill of rights ...cuz they're switching it out on us [without even doing us the courtesy of going about it straightforwardly...or legally].
The number of writers who are far more credentialed than Nichols and publish similar pieces on much larger platforms are too numerous to count (Paul Krugman, Bret Stephens, etc). They do so with regularity and target the exact same audience.
