Thanks for reading this, folks. As an aside, and one which I know Vinny would not mind at all in this comments section, I am raising money for 9/11 charity Tunnel to Towers in their 5K run in a few weeks and it would mean the world to me if you would consider sponsoring: https://runsignup.com/raheem
What the hell, man. This is the second In Memoriam from you in a very short period of time for a well respected friend who died WAY TOO YOUNG. Your tribute was lovely but the trend is disturbing and occurring way too often these days.
Raheem, I was one of those regular callers and you would know me if I opened up. I followed you to Sunday night and was truly disappointed when you left. We traded emails after that, but it’s been quite some time.
Two people texted me after Vinnie’s passing and I was stunned at how young and the lack of warning.
You penned a heartfelt piece that I know will give comfort to Vinnie’s family. You did him justice and it all rang true. Beautiful. We should all be so lucky to have a friend who expresses the loss.
God bless you Raheem. Such kind words for Vinny, who was one of us, radio listeners who have been with you from the Breitbart days to the present. Raheem, we hang on your every word in these rough times, but it puts a lump in our throat to think that we are really part of something as listeners and callers and that it is the truth, "Where We Go 1 We Go All". Thank you, Raheem, for all you do for us. God bless you, my brother.
A very lovely piece, Raheem. I'm sure Vinnie will give you a big hug for it the moment you meet again [a date, btw, I hope Fate has destined for the far future].....
